Villages of Naxos

It is only natural that such a large island as Naxos has many villages. In fact most of them are connected via well maintained asphalt roads. By using the Summerland hotel at Kastraki you can get to experience some of them:

Chora (Hora) Naxos: with its harbour and castle and with all the other sites worth seeing is the capital of the island and one of the typically traditional Cycladic settlements. Its size and populace (numbering some 6.533) make it a modern town with all its comforts.

Tripodes (Vivlos): is a flatland village to the south west of the island with many traditional windmills. It is 9km from the Chora (the capital) of Naxos and only 7km from Kastraki where the Summerland hotel is situated.

The villages of Naxos, many of which are in the flatlands, others mountainous and others still on the beachfront, each with its own peculiarities but all traditional and with hospitable residents await for you to travel and experience them.
